How to Relieve Stress II, through Doing Sports

The first time I got stressed was when I had a bed-wetting, and worried that I would be punished by my mom, a serious and strict woman. Every time I had a bed-wetting I cried first before she found anything and did not dare to do anything that day. Did not even change my pants. With the passage of time, I gradually have less times of bed-wetting. But on the way to grow up, we are going to have more problems and challenges.

The first thing I came across was going to kindergarten where is full of different kids and teachers. It was the first time I know a new character in my life, teacher, who is more rigid and respectable than my parent. Then I start having classmates, start reading, start having classes, and start having a new idea of what life is. And the stress I have at the moment was whether I can get used to the new surroundings, classmates, and friends. I was shy and did not dare to speak to others and spent most of my time hiding in the corner. I was stressed and worried from time to time, but every time after having a good meal, or watching a TV serious, I would forget everything.

When it comes to primary school, things changed to a different direction, starting having disciplines to study and having tests for each one. Having classes every day begins with tasks, and should focus on what teachers say in each class. And at the end of the semester, having exams to pass. That is when I start having stress of study, which is completely different from that in kindergarten. And when I know what jealousy is. My best friend Jame has always been the top one in my classes. Every time I found her exam results, I feel sad and depressed, comparing to my disaster ones. That was stress, sadness, and depression. Gradually I learned more just from books, emotions. And how to deal with different emotions. After primary school, I become more interested in movies than just TV serious, and also musical instruments, with which I lifted my stresses and worries.

Seeing a Shrink

Seeing a shrink was because I found I cannot deal with the stress on my own. For a period time, I was completely stressed and did not know how to get over the condition. That is when I realize I must have some professional help. With the times and time of consulting, I have learned more about myself and ways to deal with stress or other down spirits. If you found you have big problems with your emotions, and tried many ways to relive but did not work. Then it is time to see a shrink.

 

Doing Sports

“Humans were born to move, and when we are physically active, it puts us more than just in a state, not just body but minds to be in the best version of ourselves,” says by psychology professor Kelly McGonigal. Movement has been proved in more than just a race and just a country that it is one of the best way to relieve stress and keep your mental healthy. Through movement, your body and mind will become active, and hence the chances of getting depressed or stressed will decrease. The way to move body can be in various ways, whether you are interested in weight lifting, playing basketball, swimming, jogging, or yoga. Anything that can activate your body can be the way to stimulate your mind and thus change your spirit. For myself, I have felt my mind not just body changing since I starting dancing, doing yoga and swimming. Every time I practice, I always put my activewear sets on to protect my skin and bones. I was so many times being depressed or stressed, but through continuous practice of my body and mind, my way to deal with stress and depression has been changed. And currently I am more brave to meet problems and challenges.

 

Changing Mindset

Our mindset influences how we value others. If we change the way we value something, the way we face different tasks and problems will be different as well. Hence, once we have stress and depression, practice our mind to differently think and scale the thing in front of us. Through persistent practice, our mindset will be different as well.

Being stress is not a problem, but we need to learn how to lift stress efficiently. Seeing a shrink, doing sports, and changing mindset will help us to relieve tress and have a more active mind and body.
